Born in Wichita, Kansas, Jessica Burke is a two-dimensional figurative artist and educator living in southern Georgia. She was raised on a steady diet of Saturday morning cartoons and Little Debbie Snack Cakes. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Oklahoma State University and her Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of North Carolina. Burke is an assistant professor of art and the director of the Foundations Program at Georgia Southern University. Her work is in public and private collections. It has been shown nationally and internationally in the United Kingdom, South Korea, and China.
