Sean Carney paints places he loves. He considers the buildings, the street corners and shorelines as place markers for memories that he shares with special people in his life. He enjoys taking in his surroundings and imaging painting them. He considers these paintings his connections to the past and an unbreakable bond to his work.
His preferred tools are Minwax wood stain and a Dremel — it is a process that is uniquely his. While his paintings look like traditional paintings from a distance, upon closer inspection you gain a realization that they are not traditional at all. It is that moment of contemplation that drives him to continue his growth and development.
