Professional Artist Takes Home Four FMA Awards

ORLANDO, Fla. (Aug. 5, 2013) — Professional Artist – the ultimate career resource for visual artists and creative professionals – received four awards from the Florida Magazine Association (FMA), including a coveted Charlie Award for Best Cover. Presented Friday, Aug. 2, during a gala event at the 2013 FMA Annual Publishing Conference & Exposition in Orlando, Fla., the FMA awards honor the year’s top achievements in magazine publishing in the Sunshine State.

Chosen from a pool of more than 680 entries across the state of Florida, Professional Artist’s 2013 FMA awards are as follows:


Design Excellence

• Charlie Award: Best Cover (Trade/Technical) – February/March 2013 Issue featuring cover artwork “Approaching Noise” by David Kassan.

• Silver Award: Best Department (Association; Trade/Technical) – “Headlines & Details”


General Excellence

• Silver Award: Best Redesign

• Bronze Award: Best Table of Contents (Association; Trade/Technical)
