June Piety is an artist living in Milwaukie, Oregon. Her main focus is on graphite pencil drawings, sketches and illustrations. Piety is best known for her drawings of animals and her ability to express a strong connection with the animal kingdom. She pulls inspiration from nature, a growing concern for the environment, the human body, emotions and sometimes the strange eeriness of dreams. Piety often includes small details in her work that carry personal significance. Her aim is to keep the focus on the details and realistic aspects of a subject true while adding her own creative interpretations and finding new ways to challenge and express herself through pencil and paper. In October 2015 she was a featured artist in Avari Magazine and she currently exhibits her work in local venues and art galleries in Portland, Oregon and surrounding areas.
