www.artbyirrena.com The December 2015/January 2015 Artist Spotlight winner, Irena was born 1979 in Skopje, Macedonia. Currently she lives and works in Burlington, Ontario, Canada. The interest in art follows her whole life even though due to some life circumstances, she decided to take her education in a different direction by pursuing legal studies. She learned the basic techniques of painting in an Atelier Likovna Rabotilnica Skopje. After arriving in Canada, she decided to completely dedicate herself to art by signing up for an Art College and opening up her own studio in which she works as a full-time artist. She is a member of the Burlington Art Center.
