Gray Jones is a native of Washington, DC and received his art training from Howard University and the Corcoran School of Art. He divides his time between Portland, OR and Washington, DC, and counts illustrators Gustave Dore, Erté (Romain de Tirtoff), Moebius (Jean Giraud), and Jack Kirby among his influences.

He has had solo exhibitions at Billy Ray’s Tavern and Alchemy Art. He has also participated in group exhibitions at Tiny’s Coffee, Artomatic DC, DCAC and 3 South Gallery.

Recently, he received an Honorable Mention in Fusion Arts “Colors” exhibition; he is also a winner of the Berthold Schmutzhart Award.
