Susan Hanna is a self-taught artist who earned her Bachelor of Arts with majors unrelated to the art industry. After working for many years and raising a family, she earned her Juris Doctor and practiced law for several years. During this time, she continued to paint. Hanna likes to work in oil because she says it appears to be alive in the way the colors continue to blend and change as they dry. Her work can be found in galleries, businesses and residences from Virginia to Maine. Hanna is currently represented by Beth Ellis Cove Gallery in Ogunquit, Maine; Ingram Fine Art in Wiscasset, Maine; and NW Barrett Gallery in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
