ORLANDO, Fla. (Sept. 30, 2016) — Professional Artist – the foremost business magazine for visual artists – was recognized for excellence with three awards from the Florida Magazine Association (FMA), including one first-place Charlie Award for Best Feature. Each year the FMA honors high achievements in the Florida publishing industry at the FMA Annual Publishing Conference & Exposition. This year, Professional Artist was awarded the following honors:

  • Charlie Award: Writing Excellence, Best Feature (Trade/Technical) – “7 Business Practices to Emulate From the Life of Georgia O’Keeffe” by Thea Fiore-Bloom
  • Silver Award: Best Cover Design (Trade/Technical) – “August/September 2015 Issue”
  • Bronze Award: Best Overall Magazine (Trade/Technical)

“Four years ago Professional Artist went through a major redesign overhaul,” said Professional Artist Publisher Jannett Roberts. “And this year marks the fourth consecutive year our magazine takes home multiple FMA awards. I am extremely proud of how far our publication has come, and I am very honored to work with a team that is as dedicated to serving fine artists and growing the art culture as ours is.”
