Jim Lively is an attorney who left the practice of law to pursue his passion full-time as a contemporary figurative and abstract artist. His works have been recognized in numerous juried competitions and publications. He was named to the 2013 list of Art Tour International Magazine’s Top 60 Masters of Contemporary Art (www.arttourinternational.com). In addition, he has participated in several group and a solo exhibitions across North America and in Europe. Lively’s painting, “Layers of Civilization,” placed Second in the Abstract Category and “A Second Cup of Coffee,” placed First in the Humor Category in the 2013 American Art Awards.
