Barbara Lipkin’s first one-woman exhibit, in 2001, was titled A Colorful Journey. These first professional-quality paintings were diverse subjects full of life and used bright, energetic colors. Lipkin says her work has come a long way since then, but she still loves to paint bright, colorful pictures. A lot of her work is inspired by the complicated shapes of flowers, fruit and inanimate objects. Lipkin loves to create a sense of immediacy with close-up focus.
