Angela Sharkey was the June/July 2015 artist spotlight winner. She writes, “My inspiration comes from living in new and foreign cultures, discovering gorgeous landscapes and being outside in nature. Nature is an important inspiration in my work and I love to be outdoors while capturing natures peaceful beauty as it lives among our chaotic world. Balancing design, color, line, and simplistic forms I work in acrylic, oil, and mixed media using saturated and vibrant colors as I strive to capture an energy on the canvas.
