With a background in graphic design and illustration, I jumped into fiber arts by learning to quilt 15 years ago, then by making fabric collages and 3-D objects. Spurred on by found and recycled materials, I love to experiment with contrasting textures and details in a piece and using thread as another type of material. Forming shapes with color and light, I create these soft sculptures with a concept inspired by the natural world and the details of everyday life.
