In Pop Manga: How to Draw the Coolest, Cutest Characters, Animals, Mascots and More, Canadian artist Camilla d’Errico (with the help of writer Stephen W. Martin) reveals many of the techniques she uses for creating her characters, which are all created in the Manga style, or the style most closely associated with Japanese comics.

This wonderfully printed how-to book provides a variety of step-by-step lessons on drawing basic body construction, capturing action and creating animals, among other topics. There’s also an insightful chapter on creating scripts, finishing panels and breaking into the business.
