After surviving two strokes, Lisa Hilton began art and music therapy. Initially, it helped her regain full use of her left hand and arm, and eventually helped her in battling post-stroke depression and PTSD. Hilton says the medication she had to take after her strokes made her fall into a darker place, but creating art made her feel normal and happy again. When people began asking to purchase her work, Hilton decided to pursue a career in art, as she also was having trouble finding a job as a licensed aesthetician. Hilton finds that art brings her peace and joy and would like to share those feelings with others. For more information on Hilton and her work, visit facebook.com/LoveCactus88
