Hayley Blomquist is a painter and sculptor originally from Colorado, currently living in New York. She likes to transpose the domestic intimacy of textile work with the powerful exuberance of abstract expressionism in painting by disrupting the comfortability of knitting with gestural brushstrokes, turning something concrete into something abstract.
